I am still an Independent Stampin’Up! Demonstrator and love all things paper craft. This blog is here so that I can share my makes with you all and share tips and ideas.
So this first post is about my crafting space and storage. I feel fortunate to have my own craft room, somewhere I can while away the hours, relaxing and creating cards and gifts using Stampin’Up! products.
The paper rack I bought from eBay from a lady who was closing down a shop.
The shelves for the stamp sets are just everyday book shelves or CD / DVD shelves.
The cupboard with desk space is just amazing bought from http://www.storage4crafts.co.uk . It comes complete with all the super storage boxes and folds away if needed, not that I ever do.
The ink caddy is an old one from Stampin’Up! bought before they redesigned their ink pads, rumour has it that they are planning a new one.
The draws are old ones that I picked up from an office stationary shop and is great for A4 paper and card stock, I tend to keep my white in there as I like to be able to see the other colours on the rack, for inspiration.
My punches are stored on thin shelving in a cabinet, while the large cupboard below currently holds my Christmas stamps and papers, ready for when I need them.
SO THE AUTUMN WINTER STAMPINUP CATALOGUE WAS LAUNCHED ON THE FIRST OF SEPTEMBER
THERE IS LOTS OF CHRISTMASY STAMPS AND ACCESSORIES IN THERE AS WELL AS SPOOKY BITS FOR HALLOWEEN, SUCH AS A CAT PUNCH. I HAVE SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE USING THIS PUNCH FOR A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF CARD.
HOWEVER, I LOVE CHRISTMAS AND EXCITED TO HAVE MADE A START ON MY CHRISTMAS CARDS, MY FAVOURITE OF ALL THE NEW BITS IS THE CHRISTMAS QUILTING BUNDLE
I AM NOT A QUILTER, BUT JUST LOVE THE PATTERN AND THAT I CAN USE IT FOR CHRISTMAS CARDS IN TRADITIONAL COLOURS OR MIX IT UP FOR EVERYDAY CARDS. THE PAPER STACK AVAILABLE MATCHES PERFECTLY TOO MATCHING PAPER STACK
StampinUp is all about sharing ideas. Heidi from flutterbyheidi is certainly one of the people I watch often on YouTube and practice her techniques. This week I came across an old video she had done as part of her ferrero Friday videos. I didn’t have flamelits set that she used in her demo, so I changed it up a little and used swirly scribbles instead.
Score the wild wasabi card at 1 and 2 cms on all four sides, Cut off 3 little squares as shown on photo below Glue and fold in the flaps to make a little tray. Add the swirls to each side then attach the ribbon around the edge. Add chocolate and it’s done!
Finally the booked room was available for andicrafts to start the crafting class. The room is quite spacious as it turns out and is more than useable. Just hope now that Andrea enjoys the time while crafting with people.
If Andrea enjoys the session and people turn up I am sure if you send her a message she will oblige and do another class for people to visit.
I love watching Brandy Cox on you tube, she is a fantastic stamper and gives me inspiration and ideas to CASE. Using up some of the colours that are about to retire I have made this card, the ink colours are Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey all beautiful colours, but we are getting some band new amazing colours available 1st June. Yay!
This butterfly card only uses the Butterfly Basics stamp set and is stamped directly on to the card so easy to made and you don’t need too much equipment.
Here is a link to Brandy video tutorial so that you can see how it is made.
Congratulations to my friend at work who has a new job (yes another one). Loving this crafty afternoon making this congratulations card for her. A fellow crafter posted a triple stamped card, so of course I had to give it a go and this is what I came up with.
I made this card using the following stamps and colours
The inks and card stock I used are Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo twist which are both retiring at the end of May so may not still be available, but I think it would still look great with different colours.
A friend of mine got a new job yesterday and I am going to miss her support at work, so of course I had to make her a card to congratulate her. I am not naturally a creative person so find inspiration from other stampin’ up demonstrators, I love that they all share projects. On Sam Johnson’s blog I saw a sketch she had used and decided to start with that.
I have used the Suite Sayings stamps as they are the ones I have just bought, stamps for all occasions. I was going to put flowers around the balloon, but that just wouldn’t have worked and then I remembered that the Sprinkles of Life set had a stamp that looks like clouds so with a sprinkle of glitter embossing I felt the clouds were perfect.
Just add sprinkles on top for the perfect birthday card. This essential birthday set will cover birthdays all year long.
Our clear-mount stamps are made of the same high-quality red rubber as our wood-mount stamps, but they’re repositionable. They’re precut and ready to go. Temporarily mount these stamps on clear blocks for stamping, then remove them for space-saving storage. You’ll only need one set of blocks for all your clear-mount stamps (blocks sold separately). Our premium red rubber will last for years and give a superior stamped impression each time. The stamps come packaged in cases with images on the spine for easy storage and quick reference.
