The Varied vases stamp set or bundle (save 10%) is such a versatile stamp set. This morning I was looking for inspiration to make a card and found a sketch challenged that I often get involved with stamp with joy.
I loved the Varied Vases stamp set because of the 2 step stamping it offers which changes the look of the finished card. I can have just the outline of the vase, it coloured in a solid colour or the patterned vase, as on this card. The flowers are also 2 step stamps, on this card I have done the out line in Wild Wasabi and the petals in real red. I punched the vases out and then stamped them, using the template from the punch paper ton help line them up, you can stamp them all at the stamp time, The stamparatus comes in really useful for the 2 step stamping being able to line the stamp up easily for best results. I haven’t yet decided on a sentiment for this card, so I will add that later.
StampinUp are offering Bonus Days during August. For every £45 you spend you will receive a voucher code for £4.50 to spend in September. I’ll let you into a secret, the autumn / winter catalogue is available on the 5th September so you will be able to spend your August Bonus Days rewards in the seasonal Catalogue or annual catalogue. I have had a sneak peek and the Stampinup Christmas stamps are exciting and there are some lovely christmasy papers. Being a demo I can order from it now so I will be bringing some christmasy projects with the new stock soon.
Colour Your Season Bundle is a limited product which is available while stocks last in August. It is a all year around stamp set . These stamps and dies can be purchased separately, but come with a discount when buying as a bundle.
Christmas in July, really? While we are basking in the crazy heat (28-32 degrees) it is hard to think about Christmas in July, but when you have a load of Christmas cards and gifts to make it is important to plan early.
Therefore in a challenge that I take part in, though my Stampin’up team and groups we had to CASE a project. To CASE is to copy and share everything, or copy and selectively edit.
Although the card layout Is the same I have changed the DSP to Christmas paper and swapped the flower for a carol singing mouse from the Merry Mouse stamp set. There is a sentiment on the Cherry Cobbler card but it doesn’t really show up on the photo.
I copied my card design from Simone Bartrum who is an Australian Stampin’Up demo.
I have lots of DSP, Designer Series Paper, but I just couldn’t help taking advantage of getting most of the new papers from the Stampin’Up annual catalogue which included 2 free DPS packs.
Each of the 12×12 DPS is double-sided and comes in 2 each of 6 designs. This size paper is great for doing one sheet wonders where you can make 8 cards from one sheet of DSP, so you could make most your Christmas cards if you chose the under the mistletoe as your free DPS. I will add my one sheet wonder cards soon.
Hi, I am sure that you have heard of the game tic tac toe, well earlier this week in my Stampin’ Up team group we were set a challenge based on the 3×3 grid of tic tac toe. The idea is that you choose a winning line and have to create a project based on the titles in there. This was ours
I love things like this to inspire me creatively I chose the diagonal line top left to bottom right, so I needed to make a 3D Project, inspired by nature and has some sparkle to it.
I am still an Independent Stampin’Up! Demonstrator and love all things paper craft. This blog is here so that I can share my makes with you all and share tips and ideas.
So this first post is about my crafting space and storage. I feel fortunate to have my own craft room, somewhere I can while away the hours, relaxing and creating cards and gifts using Stampin’Up! products.
The paper rack I bought from eBay from a lady who was closing down a shop.
The shelves for the stamp sets are just everyday book shelves or CD / DVD shelves.
The cupboard with desk space is just amazing bought from http://www.storage4crafts.co.uk . It comes complete with all the super storage boxes and folds away if needed, not that I ever do.
The ink caddy is an old one from Stampin’Up! bought before they redesigned their ink pads, rumour has it that they are planning a new one.
The draws are old ones that I picked up from an office stationary shop and is great for A4 paper and card stock, I tend to keep my white in there as I like to be able to see the other colours on the rack, for inspiration.
My punches are stored on thin shelving in a cabinet, while the large cupboard below currently holds my Christmas stamps and papers, ready for when I need them.
Using the whisper white, stamp one of the full flower and 2 of the upright flowers in flirty flamingo ink.
2 step stamp the leaves 3 times in emerald envy ink, stamping off for the first stamp and full colour on the patterned stamp
Die cut these out.
To the right hand side of centre die cut the large patter from the basic black card stock
Using the matting layer of flirty flamingo die cut the flowers with the insert and layer it on the stamped images. Being carful only to cut the flirty flamingo card where it won’t show through.
Wrap the ribbon around the bottom of the basic black card and adhere it to the back.
Stamp your chosen sentiment in Versamark and heat embossing power to help it show up on the black background.
Matt and layer the basic black on to the flirty flamingo card and layer that on the White card base.
Arrange your flowers and leaves where you would like them and add rhinestones for a little extra sparkle.
The second card that we made today was a christmas Card using the Thoughtful Branches, which is no longer available from Stampin’Up, but gives a lovely snowy scene by stamping 3 times without re-inking to create the dimension of the forrest.
I am planning my next class in January so please message me or email me to book your place.
The cost of the session is £25, for this you will learn and make 3 different cards and / or 3D projects using the stamp set, have all the card stock, ink and paper to make the cards and the stamp set to take home. Full demonstration given on the day and typed instructions so you can make it again and again.
This class is a pre order only, all orders need to be in by 31st October 2017 so that I can order the stamp sets in.
