Chocolate Orange Christmas Box Santa’s Workshop

Chocolate Orange Christmas box Santa’s Workshop.

Made by Andrea Wardill, Independent Stampinup@ Demonstrator.

Yesterday I was out with my good friend and fellow Stampinup@ Demonstrator Gez from Nigezza Creates having a little coffee and card session. During our journey we popped into Tesco’s where they were selling chocolate Oranges for 75p! yes 75p. I always buy my children a chocolate orange for Christmas, so I had to get some. (If they survive til Christmas without being eaten I will be very surprised). Gez then told me that she had made a box for it for valentines day. Today I have cased (copy and share everything) Gez’s box and added a Christmasy theme with the cute Santa’s Workshop paper and co-ordinating stamps and dies.

The dies from Santa’s Signpost actually cut out the images on the Designer series paper, super cute.

The products used for this box are:-

The DSP on the lid is now retired paper, but it measures 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 for the top and 2 3/4 x 1 1/8

Each of the products are available in my online Stampinup@ store open 24/7.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year in October?

Today is the start of the Stampinup new year and I have been in creative mood today. This creatively could be as it is World Card making Day. So celebrate by making some Happy New Year Cards of your own.

At last months retreat I joined loads of my Stampinup family and together we crafted. One of the make and takes from Sam Hammond was a card demonstrating a technique using Sliver Glimmer Paper under Window Sheets, coloured in with Blends.

I thought the effect was really pretty and the glimmer paper hides the adhesive too. So today I have been experimenting with this technique using different stamps and dies and Blends.

The first card is Serene Garden stamp set and matching dies.

The second card is Lift Me up stamp set and dies.

The third card is Dragonfly Delights stamp set and dies.

I have to say I really love this technique, It is one that I will use a lot.

Stay Crafty

Signs Of Santa

Signs of Santa Stamp set is so cute. Wether you like the traditional Christmas cards or cute ones StampinUp has got them all in the autumn / winter catalogue.  I have loved playing with the Signs of Santa stamp set and co-ordinating Santa’s workshop designer series paper. The poppy red and white stripped paper used in this project is textured and feels velvety. One of the designs on the paper matches the stamp set so can be cut out using the Santa’s signpost frame lit dies. I do love how StampinUp all comes together.

This is the project I have mad. I was planning for my August class and had been asked to teach the class how to make these box cards. The box cards fold flat to fit into an envelope so easy to post. The basic box cards takes only 4×12 of card stock to make and the decoration can be as flamboyant and big as you like. This one needs a sentiment on the front and I haven’t decided which one just yet. If you are buying in September don’t forget to use the voucher you earned in August.

The Autumn Winter Catalogue is available from the 5th September 2018 till January 4th 2019.

Other box cards I have made include the Foxy Friends stamps and punch, Sweet Storybook and Rooted in Nature.

Sweet Storybook

The Sweet Storybook stamp set and coordinating storybook scene dies is such a sweet set. It can be bought as a bundle with a saving of 10%. These dies are very creative, you can either cut out the leaves or just the middle. This makes for a great demential cards, which the photo doesn’t really show.

I have matted and layered the green and white cardstock, with foam adhesive strip so that the mushroom sits behind. The mice and mushroom are 2 step stamps allowing you to colour in with a stamp different from the outline. The sentiment on this card is to cover a little smudge, I will be changing that before it is set out.

Varied Vases

The Varied vases stamp set or bundle (save 10%) is such a versatile stamp set. This morning I was looking for inspiration to make a card and found a sketch challenged that I often get involved with stamp with joy.

I loved the Varied Vases stamp set because of the 2 step stamping it offers which changes the look of the finished card. I can have just the outline of the vase, it coloured in a solid colour or the patterned vase, as on this card. The flowers are also 2 step stamps, on this card I have done the out line in Wild Wasabi and the petals in real red. I punched the vases out and then stamped them, using the template from the punch paper ton help line them up, you can stamp them all at the stamp time, The stamparatus comes in really useful for the 2 step stamping being able to line the stamp up easily for best results. I haven’t yet decided on a sentiment for this card, so I will add that later.

Don’t forget if you buy this bundle along with
