Monotone Retiform Christmas Card

Monotone Retiform Christmas Card

The christmas card challenge I created today is from a card challenge where the theme is abstract backgrounds. This monotone retiform card is my take on being abstract. Retiform techniques gives a card a patchwork  look without the numerous lays, and can be done with very limits resources, a single ink, paper and a stamp. Check out pintrest for some amazing ideas.

I have used Soft Sky ink, and three retired christmas stamps, Cozy Critters, Snow Place and Merry Mice. I created the lines with a piece of scrap paper and ink sponged lightly to create the effect. This design will work well with any stamp set or colour and makes an interesting card.

Using the High tide stamp set in Dapper Demin Ink I made another monotone retiform card for my father in laws birthday, which was matted onto Depper Demin card stock. You too can make these cards and purchase stock from my online store. This card also use the raised numbers to add more dimension.
